The industrial revolution made many of the world"s economies become interdependent as international trade became increasingly popular. As other countries grew and became more dominant, europe"s supremacy started to vanish. Germany began to industrialize more towards the end of the 19th century which intimidated britain. Second industrial revolution development associated with steel, chemicals, electricity, and oil. New plastics were created, steel production was made easier, and electricity and power plants became prominent in everyday life. There were a lot of economic failures during this period due to slowed capital investment and several large bank failures, which led to unemployment and the growth of trade unions. The middle class was the most prominent in europe for most of this century, and they were very diverse.
