You said "All economic 'communities' require constraints."
You are not a "community" and neither am I. I am an Individual and so are you.
As such it's important to never speak for others who would disagree with your
being "their voice". You do NOT have my agreement in this area, in fact, don't
take it personally, no one besides me can speak for me, in the same way that no
one besides you can adequately speak for you.
It's a common misconception, a completely false concept that's broadly accepted
as truth, that without gov't enforced constraints, that there would be such a
thing as an "unregulated market". This article was helpful for me in putting
that lie in its proper place. If we see gov't for what Geo Washington called it,
we'll be much more likely to let the voluntary market signal itself rather than
appealing to the coercive 'market'.
Government is not reason, it is not eloquence it is force! Like fire, it is a
dangerous servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to
irresponsible action. -- George Washington
Taxation is the price we pay for failing to build a civilized society. The
higher the tax level, the greater the failure. A centrally planned totalitarian
state represents a complete defeat for the civilized world, while a totally
voluntary society represents its ultimate success. -- Mark Skousen
