Health promotions and primary prevention: persuasion and social influence in media health coverage, social influence refers to the idea that interactions with other people can lead to changes in out attitudes, beliefs, values, and behaviors. Family, peer, and school influences: teen years critical choices are made, parent influence greatest when it came to alcohol, peer influence most influential when it came to risky behavior. Model of windows of vulnerability; influence of parents on health beliefs and behaviors will be important throughout life, but during certain periods, young people will be vulnerable to the effect pf other important social influences: adolescence. Leaving home: significant others, parental influences greatest in behaviors parents showed themselves, black teens showed that parents support more stronger. If perceived behavioral control is low its unlikely that it will occur.
