Stereotypes: beliefs and assumptions which we associate with particular groups of people. They can be obvious such as ethnicity, or less prominent such as political beliefs, birth order or education level. It is possible for stereotypes to be partly true, but are not necessarily all real. Gender stereotypes: beliefs we associate with males and females. Prejudice: emotional reaction or attitude towards a particular group of people, which can be positive or negative [hate, empathy or dislike] Discrimination: biased treatment of a particular group of people. This involves acting upon the prejudiced thought or stereotype. Gender bias includes stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination. Philosophy: women are more likely to envy, tell lies, they are not as developed to rational beings, function of women is pleasing men. History: focus on study of hunting tools and history of how men gathered food, focus on men"s art and preserving their paintings and sculptures.
