More females are entering the field of psychology recently, with 70% of phd of psychology holders being women. Psychology of women still presents biases towards the study of other women, excluding those of colour, different sexual orientations, low class and the disabled. Latino/latina history is not studied compared to that of the blacks in the states the chicana/o movement may call feminist mexican women vendidas or sellouts because they support ideas of women"s independence. Black men may believe that black women"s fight against sexism is drawing them from the real fight against racism. Also, black women may feel that they have less in common with white women. It is common for black women to be considered with issues relating to women but avoid adopting the feminist label. Multiple women populations of different ethnic groups may be in support of women issues but avoid adopting feminist labels or traditions because of lack of appreciation of their specific culture/situations.
