Biological in uences: vasovagal syncope (overreactive vasovagal lowers blood pressure after it"s increased by blood stimuli = fainting) & genetic, blood reaction runs in families. Behavioural in uences: unconditioned response w/ stimulus generalization ( cut it out! ) Social in uences: principle rejection & classmate attention = worsen reaction/fear. Developmental in uences: developmental critical period (ex: age 16 when phobia arose) Outcome: phobia exposure + applied muscle tension reduce vasovagal reactions. (7 days) Genes: long dna molecules in chromosomes within cell nucleus. Each human cell: 46 chromosomes, 23 pairs (1 from father, 1 from mother) 23rd pair: last chromosome pair in cell determines sex (xx = f & xy = m)
