Autobiographical memory: what has happened in my life. Autobriographical memory- memory for speci c experiences from our life, which can include both episodic and semantic components. Autobiographical memory is multidimensional because they consist of spatial, emotional, and sensory components. Transition poiints in people"s lives appear to be particularly memorable. Ashbulb memory- memory for the circumstances surrounding how a person heard about an event, not memory for the event itself (ex. Constructive nature of memory- what people report as memories are constructed based on what actually happened, plus additional factors, such as a person"s knowledge, experiences, and expectations. Using repeated reproduction (similar to repeated recall), is to show that repeating the same memory over and over over longer periods of time causes the memory to become shorter and more inaccurate. Source monitoring- the process of determining the origins of our memories, knowledge, or beliefs. Memory can be modi ed or created by suggestion.
