The observational learning theory; the behaviour of an observer changes due to the behaviour of a model. 3 stages of observational learning (1) exposure to modeling cues (2) retention or recall of behaviour (3) acceptance of cues as a guide for behaviour. Direct imitation; indirect imitation; direct counter-imitation; indirect counter-imitation. Vicarious consequences; outcomes that the observer can depict will happen to him/ her based off what happened to the model. Consequences of a behaviour make it more likely that an observer with acquire the behaviour compared to a behaviour that warrants no attention at all.
