Some facts, thoughts or feelings could make you feel uncomfortable or anxious if you were consciously aware of them locked inside the unconscious sectors of the mind. You may also have urges that would get you into trouble if expressed. An important responsibility for the ego is to keep these disturbing parts of mental life safely. Vague and uneasy to desperate and debilitating terror (anxiety attack) Generated from stresses from outside world and also conflicts within mind. Because desires, morals and possibilities are usually contradictory, the id, ego and superego is the fact of life. Id generates wants, superego provides moral judgment, ego tries to figure out the rational thing to do. The tension between these 3 aspects of reality what is right, possible and what you want . Psychic conflict when mind battles itself, resulting in anxiety.
