Relatively new academic discipline with roots in both social and natural sciences. An issue is the lack of a common name among departments in the field: e. g. the department of exercise and movement sciences vs the department of health and human performance. The lack of a common name illustrates evolving nature of the discipline. Careful wording of an advertisement that gives the reader the impression that one product is superior to another. In reality the wording means that two products are essentially equal. E. g. (cid:862)(cid:374)othi(cid:374)g is pro(cid:448)e(cid:374) more effe(cid:272)ti(cid:448)e or longer lasti(cid:374)g tha(cid:374) ad(cid:448)il(cid:863: testimonials. A statement providing evidence in support of a claim. Prime examples are strength fitness magazines and late night television infomercials especially advertisements for products that are supposed to accelerate strength gains. Even if people in before and after photos for a certain protein supplement or something may show huge gains, that does not necessarily mean that the average person will make the same gains.
