Document Summary
Vo2 max is one of the most important concepts in kinesiology. It refers to the maximal amount of oxygen that a person can take to produce energy. Oxygen consumption of an individual decrease by 5% -10% every 10 years, impacting much of the older age members in society. Daily activities require oxygen to produce energy and thus. Vo2 max is needed to understand the body s capacity of oxygen uptake and production of energy to do daily activities or sports. This system allows for the circulation of blood and the removal of waste gasses from the body. The respiratory system is responsible to bring the air in and out of the body and allows the blood to get oxygenated. The circulatory system takes the oxygenated blood and spreads it throughout the body though tissues from the lungs. The gaseous waste travels though the tissues back to the lungs to be removed from the body.
