An older view of human resources planning sees human resources management programs from the perspective that it flows directly from corporate strategy. The needs of the employees are derived from the needs of the corporation. An example of a corporation that carries this through is mcdonald"s. Many competitive businesses/companies want to gain a leverage in the marketplace through a competitive advantage through cost leadership. They try to attempt to be an affordable product or service provider in the market. However, this product and/or service with the lower price needs to be similar to that of the competitors/rivals so that consumers/customers are drawn onto this product and/or service and get their attention to purchase it. Price advantages while providing an extremely similar product/service is an approach used my many companies as it proves how successful/effective it is.
