A learning organization is an organization that creates, acquires organizes, shares, and retains information and knowledge, and uses new information and knowledge to change and modify behaviour in order to achieve its objectives and improve its effectiveness. Second, employees learn also through informal means such as listening to and observing others. Third, learning is part of a change process and in fact enables change. Fourth, continuous learning is considered to be a hallmark of learning organizations. Fifth, learning organizations recognize that learning is an investment in the future of employees and the organization.
