Document Summary
The planet is undergoing massive environmental damages and problems. It is believed that one of the reasons for this is the neoclassical economical model we largely follow that doesn"t account for environmental and sustainability costs. Another example is that one simply has to come up with alternative technologies to better combat existing ones that harm the environment. The final theory is that the government and authorities are simply not made of people who care about the environment. All though all these narratives are in some part true, they ignore a fundamental correlation between environmental damage and culture. For example, in north america and maybe even other countries know that environmental damage is reaching devastating highs, yet we continue to live our life in a way not positive towards sustainability. As corporations are aimed towards making profits, they are not very likely to focus on environmental damages and sustainable production methods.
