Advertising"s reflection of the sexual revolution in the mid- to late-1960s. Often integrated within the advertisement as images, verbal elements, or both. Aside from simply containing sexual content, sexual information in ads can be integrated within the message to greater or lesser degrees. People consider images of fully clothed, physically attractive women and men to be sexually attractive, and thus, a subtle instance of sex in advertising. Nudity: amount and style of clothing worn by models, examples: revealing displays of the body ranging from tight-fitting clothing, to underwear and lingerie, to nudity. Models in various stages in undress: studies: Test the effects of nudity levels on advertising processes and outcomes. Participants were asked to think of a sexual ad and then identify the characteristics of that ad that made it sexual to them.
