Neuroticism: higher tendency to experience negative emotions and get themselves into stressful situations. This is the third variable that effects the stress to distress repsonse. Personal factors increase ptsd rates more than natural disasters. Influenced by victim"s support, coping strategies and personality. Changes hormonal levels, which will indirectly influence our health. Couples fighting have a greater risk of becoming sick.
