There is only one very narrow reporting duty under criminal law (in the event of treason). Even if a professional learns of risky things in the course of treatment, it is still confidential, and if there are no mandatory reporting obligations, then the professional cannot report. Generally, individuals are not required to identify themselves, answer police questions, explain their conduct, or co-operate with the police: exceptions: highway traffic act if you are driving a car, you have legal obligation to identify yourself.
