Pwid experience limitations in adls while the time of transition often presents the most challenges for young adults w/ ds. The icf acknowledges the interactions b/w functioning and disability and contextual factors. The complexity and interaction b/w these are important to understand the individual"s personal perspective on their wellbeing. Environmental factors such as community attitudes influence the involvement and acceptance of those with ds - which impacts opportunities for employment and social interaction.
