Beliefs can provide psychological & emotional relief: use rituals: a formal, repetitive, ordered, symbolic behaviour that is performed in sacred places at set times. Composed of symbolic activities (i. e. speech, singing, dancing, gestures) Associated with the manipulation of certain objects. Some sort of performance: guided by myths: a sacred story that explains the origins of the world or the people in it. Referred to as a myth because they are outside of recorded history.
