Less powerful are more likely to be taken advantage of. Power = disproportionate control over other individual"s outcomes. Power usually accompanied by an inflated view of the self. Sure about selves, less willing to accept new information. Sense of entitlement --> believe they deserve better outcomes than others. Causes powerful people to demand more resources for themselves. Men show more entitlement than women (more pay for same work) Powerful people are more likely to engage in unfair behaviour (cheating, stealing, lying) Feel sense of injustice when don"t get anticipated outcomes - distributive justice. Negative reactions to injustice occur because expectations and reality do not match. People with higher self worth are more likely to reject more unfair offers in the ultimatum game - feel more deserving of fairness. Entitlement comes with expectation that someone will be treated fairly. More entitled = more likely to oppose unfair.
