According to the correspondence theories of truth, a belief is true if corresponds to reality and false if it does (cid:374)ot. Representational theory of perception: our senses provide representations of things in the external/ the world around us. This view has implications on correspondence theories of truth. It implies that we are all in a way isolated from the world. We cannot know for certain if our perceptions are an accurate representation of reality. In order to know if our representations are accurate, we must compare the representation to what it is supposed to represent (reality). But there is no way for us to compare because the only information we have is from our consciousness, which we cannot step out of to compare the t(cid:449)o.
