To describe fathers" experience about sexual life after childbirth within the first 6 months after childbirth. Men demonstrated the highest symptom of stress during pregnancy. A little change at 3 months postpartum and a little change after. Sexualactivity decline frompre pregnancyand only improved a little the first year after birth. Fathers did not think the relationship between them and their partners had worsened - but they did have less time for each other. Fathers" distress was also because of failure to be properly prepared for the birth of their children. During pregnancy, most women attended education classes with their partners. Health care providers should provide information to help improve care and counselling on sexual matters. Gender differences are important in understanding how sexual relationships and negotiations are performed. Hegemonic masculinity is idealised over complacent, marginalised and subordinated masculinity. Content analysis with a qualitative approach:; focus groups and one-on- one interviews.
