Document Summary
Chapter 21 direct behavioural assessment: what to record and how. Topography of behaviour specific movements involved in making the response. Frequency of behaviour: # of instances of behaviour in a given period of time. Frequency graph: # of instances recorded within a given period of time. Assess behaviours under conditions which behaviours most likely to occur. Stimulus control correlation b/w a stimulus and response. In abla-r, correct responses are reinforced and incorrect responses are followed by error-correction procedure. Client only passes abla-r in a level when client makes 8 consecutive responses. Latency of behaviour time b/w occurrence of stimulus and beginning of behaviour (reaction time) Quality is not a characteristic of behaviour, but it is a refinement. Quality is arbitrary designation of characteristics of behaviour that has some functional or social value. Designate specific period of time to observe and record behaviour. Period of observation is chosen b/c behaviour is most likely to occur.
