Sir francis galton believed that people learn about the world through their senses, those with superior sensory abilities would be more sensitively attuned to the world, and able to learn more about it. ~he created 17 sensory tests, such as the highest and lowest sounds people could hear, or their ability to tell the difference between objects of slightly different weights, and tested peoples abilities in his anthropometric laboratory. Anthropometics: (literally the measure of people ) referred to methods of measuring physical and mental variation in humans. Nomothetic research: psychological research that aims the understand the average human. Alfred binet argued that intelligence should be indicated by more complex thinking processes, such as memory, attention, and comprehension. Intelligence: the ability to think, understand, reason and adapt to or overcome obstacles. Binet and colleague theodore simon developed a test to measure intelligence. ~experimented with a wide variety of tasks, settled on 30 in order of increasing difficulty.
