The wechsler adult intelligence scale: david wechsler developed an iq specialized for adults, which is now known as the wechsler adult. Intelligence scale (wais): wais is the most common intelligence test used to this day, wais provides a single iq score (the full scale iq) and it also breaks it down into. General ability index (gai) and cognitive proficiency index (cpi). Gai found from scores on verbal comprehension and perceptual reasoning. Cpi based on the working memory and processing speed subtests.
