Document Summary

Cyber emotional intelligence- research that examines the assumptions that we make about people based on their online personalities. Psychology- scientific study that involves the study of behaviour, includes: perceptions, thoughts, experiences and emotions and how they can be affected by physical, mental, social, and environmental factors. Hypothesis- testable prediction about processes that can be observed and measured (test parts of a theory) Cannot prove, rather it can be supported or rejected. These rules are regularly broken: i. e. an astrologer and horoscopes make very general predictions, if you stretched the interpretations of events a bit you could find evidence for them. Good hypothesis are stated in precise terms. Scientists are eager to test hypotheses while astrologists rather you take their word for it. Often referred to it as pseudoscience- idea presented as science but does not utilize basic principles of scientific thinking/procedure.
