Firstly, the authors state that the affects of climate change vary based on a variety of factors such as geographical location. The authors stated that since there is variation in the consequences of climate change, the preparation or solutions to fix/prevent the consequences will also vary (i. e. the solutions must account for all the factors present in a given situation). Secondly, various global-scale changes (such as demographic changes) has been linked to changes in modern society such as an increased prevalence of obesity. With regards to the transcript, the author cautions about the danger of cancer and its effect on our health despite no strong link between cancer and the environment. The transcript is a tool that is used to make the reader aware of the potential sources for cancer, urging the reader to be vigilant about the things we do in our everyday lives.
