The environment is more than just our surroundings. Environment is everything biotic and abiotic: biotic: living things. Animals, plants, forests, soils, microbes, and people: abiotic: nonliving things which we interact with. Continents, oceans, urban centers, living spaces, scienti c, ethical, economical, and other relationships and institutions in our lives.
