Chapter 2: models for program planning in health promotion good health programs are the product of much effort & usually based on a systematic planning model. Models= means by which structure & organization are given to the planning process often combine different models & adapt. Generalized model for program planning understanding & engaging assessing needs, setting goals and objectives developing an intervention implementing the intervention evaluating the results. Fluidity steps in the planning process are sequential/build upon one another. Flexibility planning is adapted to the needs of the stakeholders. Functionality the outcome of planning is improved to health conditions, not the production of a program plan itself. Most widely known model in program planning. Precede= predisposing, reinforcing, and enabling constructs in educational/ecological diagnosis and evaluation. Proceed= policy, regulatory, and organizational constructs in educational and environmental development theoretically grounded & comprehensive in nature developed over 20 years.
