In god we trust ; tied to patriotism, nationalism, reverence for flag, charter of rights and. Would be considered most highly evolved religion since patriotism does not rely on concept of a god or the supernatural. By understanding the diff ways in which religious groups organize themselves, we are better able to appreciate how they begin, grow, change, die out. Most of today"s large organized religions began as what used to be a called a cult . But b/c of negative connotation that terms, now use the phrase new religious movement .
