Encouragement from people that children value and respect also contributes to self- efficacy. Individual experiences has the greatest influence on self-efficacy. Valued self it is when they reach school age around age 7 that children first develop a global self- evaluation (self esteem) self-esteem is subject to a good deal of variation.
