Document Summary
The systematic attempt to measure intelligence in the modern era began with sir. He believed that since people learn about the world through their senses, those with superior sensory abilities would be more sensitively attuned to the world and be less to learn more about it. Anthropometrics the measurement of people: referred to the methods of measuring physical and mental variation in humans. Research eventually found that sensory abilities and intelligence barely were correlated. Alfred binet- argued that intelligence should be indicated by more complex thinking processes, such as memory, attention and comprehension. This view has influenced most intelligence researchers up to the present day; they define intelligence- as the ability to think, understand, reason, and adapt to or overcome obstacles. From this perspective, intelligence reflects how well people are able to reason and solve problems, plus their accumulated knowledge. Mental age- the average intellectual ability score for children of a specific age.
