Chapter 1 personality psychology: every person varies, to understand personality we need to understand what the person is like, we need to understand genetics, brain structure, hormones, neurons and how a person copes in situations. Traits: person"s typical way of thinking, feeling and acting in various situations at different times. Some traits we are born with, others we develop from socialization. Personality starts with our genetic makeup that we inherit. Genetics: how genes and environment affect personality and behaviour.
