(measurable) Value judgments are objective and therefore immeasurable: list three reasons why understanding science matters, all of the things around you (material) are a result of science (home appliances, materials your home is made of). Classical: using reason to explain phenomenon empiricism: ideas are tested in the real world, thus making observation, measurement and experiments the central aspects of science. Induction: derives a general conclusion from specific premises or example. All metal substances so far examined have been observed to be denser than water. Therefore, all metal substances are denser than water . Deduction: a possible explanation of how or why something is the way it is. Then collect data on the subject and analyze it to exame the hypothsis. Derives a specific conclusion from a general premise.
