Katniss represents everything that the capitol is not. Katniss and prim named after flowers. Planting primrose after prim dies keeping her alive. Tributes being forced to do this dehumanized. Collins dehumanizes the characters to the point where the readers are cheering when people are killed they are still children. Some districts trained from birth to kill. A tool so the districts do not come together.
