Layers of dense connective tissue is called a fascia. Fascia blends with epimysium, which surrounds skeletal muscle. The perimysium is inwards of the epimysium, helping separate the muscle tissue into small tissue. Muscle in fascicles lie in covers called endomysium. A single cell from the skeletal muscle fiber contracts in response to stimulation and relaxes when stimulation ends. Each muscle fiber is thin, elongated cylinder with rounded edges and may extend to full length of muscle. Myofibrils consists of thick filaments (myosin) and thin filaments (actin) Two other filaments, other than the myofibrils, are troponin and tropmyosin. The organization of these filaments are called striations. Sacromere: repeating patterns of units that are formed by the striations of the skeleton muscle.
