What is a requirement: requirement: a statement of what the system must do or what characteristics it needs to have, provide different perspectives, business requirements, user requirements, functional requirements. International institute of business analysis (iiba) defines these as the product capabilities, or things that a product must do for its users: system requirements, non functional requirements. Iiba defines as group of requirements as the quality attributes, design, and implementation constraints, and external interfaces which a product must have.
