Iq (intelligence quotient) is a systematic means of quantifying differences among people in their intelligence (average iq = 100). People who believe that intelligence is a flexible process (not a fixed entity) tend to take more academic risks (enrolling in a challenging class) and persist after failing at a problem carol.
