Hestia, goddess of the hearth and it"s fire. Hestia is a goddess of chastity, the hearth (hestia means hearth), and its sacred fire. She presided over what was considered holy" fire by the earlier peoples, who suffered greatly to obtain it. Zeus is an amorous god; he mates with countless goddesses and mortal women and his offspring are legion.
