Cyberspace as a site which women who are struggling with anorexia can find sanctuary from the public watching. Cyberspace - where women create and visit pro-ana websites. Since other website do not promote this content, cyber space can provide a space to escape the scunity of others as well as the opportunity to interact with others struggling with eating disorders. Could be helpful since first stages of anorexia start with feelings of being alone and isolation. Providing girls and women with a forum to discuss information about ana. Warning on first page alerting people that this site contains information about ana. Warns to not enter if you are recovering from eating disorder. Websites were for people who were already suffering from illness but do not wish to recover yet. Site suggests that it does not encourage an eating disorder. Purpose of site is to promote, support anorexia with "how to" sections about the illness.
