Visual delight in a work of art can take many forms, including an appreciation of beauty or decoration, or delight in an element of surprise. Aesthetics: the study and philosophy of the quality and nature of sensory responses related to, but not limited by, the concept of beauty. It focuses on the philosophy of art with questions regarding what art is, how it is evaluated, the concept of beauty, and the relationship between the idea f beauty and the concept of art. Aesthetics refers to an awareness of beauty or to that quality in a work of art or other manmade or natural form which evokes a sense of evaluated awareness in the viewer.
