A black revolution is forcing america to acknowledge its flaws and expose the evils that are rooted in society. Civil rights movement begins in 1954 with brown: board of education decision and proceeds through public protests and ends with the civil. Rights act of 1964 and voting rights act of 1965. The black freedom movement is linked closely to rough drafts of journalism and people replicate its judgements and trajectory. The conservative movement reinvented itself in the 1970s by incorporating neoconservatives who were racist and then embraced the idea of formal equality. People insisted on colour blindness - defined as the elimination of racial classifications and then established formal equality before the law. The stories of the civil rights movement shapes how we see out own world. Two internal migrations give rise to the long civil rights movement and to the interest and ideologies that would feed the resistance to it.
