Positive behaviour support can be identified as this rather than just the science of behaviour. Analysis because it considers not only scientific/experimental information. It is a more flexible perspective that focuses on increasing common desirable behaviours through reinforcement focusing on the positivity of having engaged in an appropriate behaviour, rather than focusing on problem behaviours. When educators implemented the pbs system, they noted many positive outcomes. They appreciated: reward systems for students who don"t engage in problem behaviour, students who engage in problem behaviour aren"t receiving as much special attention compared to those who don"t engage in problem behaviour. Important to inform/teach students the desired behaviours before expecting them to engage in it: many discuss the impact of the common language on the effectiveness and integrity.
