Developmental psychology; study of progressive changes in behaviour and abiliies which involves every stage of life from concepion to death, or womb to tomb. H&e also afect us throughout our lifeimes. Sexual maturity is determined by heredity, other things such as driving, swimming etc. are determined by environment. Heredity gives each of us variety of potenials and limitaions which are afected by environmental inluences. Person you are today relects coninuous interacion & interplay between the forces of nature and nurture. Refers to geneic transmission of physical and psychological characterisics from parents to their children. Dna in each cell hold all instrucions needed to make a human w/ lots of room to spare; genes that deine you only take up 2% of space in dna. Human dna in every single one of your cells is organized into 46 chromosomes arranged in 23 pairs; they hold coded instrucions of heredity.
