Look around your house, your room, your locker…..who are you?  Pick one item/artifact that you deem to be historically significant.  Take a picture of it to share.  Describe in words what it is and its connection to who you are.

Part Two: Share

You will share your artifacts in a discussion by answering the questions below using the concept of Historical Significance.

• What impact does this item have on you?
• Did it result in long lasting change or consequence?
• What does it tell us (reveal) about you?
• How does it shed light on an issue of interest or your time period?
• What impact does it have on you today?

Part 2: Consolidate

Write a paragraph by completing the statement. "My artifact is important because...".  Be specific in explaining WHY it is important to you, but also what it tells us about people, events or issues from that time (if possible).
