Given information

Here two conjugate bases are given to determine the strong base

They are: and

Step-by-step explanation

Step 1.

According to the 'Lowry-Bronsted theory', an acid can be defined as a proton donor whereas a base is known as a proton acceptor.

The species produced when an acid gives up a proton tends to regain the proton and hence it behaves as a base. It is known as the conjugate base of the parent acid.

Similarly, the entity produced when a base accepts a proton tends to donate the proton and thereby acts as an acid. It is called the conjugate acid of the parent base.
