PLEASE HELP ON NUMBER 4 (This is very easy work, but I have to enter my answers online. Please help, I can't figure this one out. I provided answers to 1-3 as an example.)
Write the formula of the following compounds:
(Write elements followed by subscript numbers with no spaces, so K3PO4 for K3PO4. Use parentheses around a polyatomic ion which occurs multiple times in the compound, so Mg3(PO4)2 for Mg3(PO4)2.)
1. zinc chloride: ZnCl2
2. sodium thiosulfate: Na2S2O3
3. potassium permanganate: KMnO4
4. sodium hypochlorite (please write the hypochlorite ion starting with the letter O when you write the formula): I can't seem to get this one? I figured it would be Na(ClO); however, it won't accept my answer. I'm either doing it wrong or I'm not sure how to start my answer for the hypochlorite ion with "O"
