I am working on a lab about removing S tarnish from Ag.

In silver sulfide what is the charge on the silver ion. Is it +6? or +1. I am not sure if you count in numbers for 3Ag2S

What must happen to the silver ion to convert it back to silver metal? (how many electrons must it gain or lose?

in the overall electrochemical reaction how many electrons are transferred: 3Ag2S + 2Al -> 6Ag + Al2S3
