They investigated variability of the pimfs (para-intermediate frontal sulcus) through reasoning scores for a sample of 72 children aged 6-18. Subjects were given iq tests to test their reasoning. Left pimpf presence seemed to have relationship with reasoning ability. Protons process around magnetic field at a certain rate called the larmour frequency. When proton in h 2 o of water is introduced into magnetic field it will instead of processing around randomly it will align with the magnetic field. Because we know strength of magnetic field we can calculate the larmour frequency of the proton in an mri it is around radio frequency.
