EESC03H3 Lecture Notes - Relational Database Management System, Sql, Shapefile
Document Summary
Interpolation allows users to estimate the value of properties at un-sampled sites from within an area covered by existing observations. Here, we will perform a first-look calculation at possible ore recovery for an area/project that has been drilled and sampled at specific locations. The site under investigation has an ore body containing a combination of copper and cobalt (with nickel as a minor constituent). In addition, the user will be introduced to the application and underlying concepts of structured query language in a relational framework. This should be uncompressed into a folder called idata" accessible to the user with full read/write permissions. Note that there should be adequate space available for these files and all manipulations. Assay information from various projects, boreholes and depths. This is indicated as the percentage of copper (cu), cobalt (co) and nickel (ni) present (for the metre sampled; this is taken as an indication of a 1 metre-cubed volume).
